RAISING THE BAR

Drinks? Beer? Whiskey? Rum? Or does the legal profession come to mind, where Lawyers are called to the bar. For many a bar is a five feet length of one-inch steel used to bore holes in huge rocks readying them for blasting. These were manually used prior to the era of the mobile air compressor. Alongside this we have the crow bar, a kind of lever used for moving objects. Someone once said, “ Give me a bar (lever) long enough and I will move the world.” In either case, whether bursting up huge rocks or leveraging heavy machinery and loads, a BAR is an indispensable ally.
