 has belatedly  recognized the seismic
 impact of Caribbean immigrants 
on the American political landscape.
A central theme of the 94th NAACP
 National Convention, July 10-17, 2003, 
held at the Miami Beach Convention Center 
was developing a strategic alliance with 
Caricomıs Heads of State on matters of trade,

Convention Center, Downtown Ft. Lauderdale. There were in their 
³finest threads and dresses² to participate in the 30th Anniversary of
 Bahamian Independence and to be in the company of the newly
 elected Prime Minister Honorable Perry Christie.
