Hyacinth Scott Wins Broward General Medical Center’s “Brightest Star” Award for 2003

Hyacinth Scott, a patient care associate on Broward General Medical Center’s oncology unit, was named the “Brightest Star” of 2003 at a special luncheon held recently. The award, which is the medical center’s equivalent of the “Employee of the Year,” was based on feedback from the North Broward Hospital District’s “Valuing Our Stars” system of employee recognition. 
Hyacinth began working at Broward General in 1998. Patients say that she is always friendly and provides wonderful customer service. Employees have said that she is an excellent team player and is willing to go the extra mile for our patients, co-workers and community family.  
  Gail Gillenwaters, Broward General’s Chief Operating Officer says that, “Hyacinth is a true model for our ‘Star’ values. Our patients are very impressed with her skills and her compassion. We receive many compliments on her willingness to help, pleasant demeanor and dedication to her profession.”  
  Broward General Medical Center is a facility of the North Broward Hospital District.
