South Florida Communities Embrace Richard Lue

In an elegant setting fit for a head of state, with even the linen table cloth seemingly custom-made depicting the Air Jamaica vibrant colors, a room uniquely decorated with floral arrangements made in beautiful Caribbean sea conch shells, designed and decorated by the host and organizer, community activist, Vonnie
McGowan-Arscott..

The event welcoming Air Jamaicašs Mr. Richard Lue started with invocation by Rev. Veda Chuck-Wong of Unity Light of the World, Miami and an entertaining interlude of East Indian-influenced dance routines and gymnastics by little Miss. Imari Morrison 9 year old daughter of Michelle and David Morrison of The Mortgage Funding Group.
The invitees dined on succulent delicacies provided by the Jerk Machine, authentic Syrian cuisine provided by Joan Seaga Gonzalez, other tasty Jamaican delights prepared by hostess McGowan-Arscott, and Wines provided by the Friends of Good Shepherd (Mo Bay) was enjoyed by the happy crowd being entertained by singer Ingraham Powell accompanied by his one man band.
The guest of Honor Mr. Richard Lue, the former Regional Sales and Marketing Director of the Eastern Caribbean now based in Miami as the newly appointed as the Air Jamaica Regional Manager special Market South West and Mid West regions of the USA was noticeably overwhelmed as he greeted the large turn-out of CARICOM nationals including some of the movers and shakers of the South Florida communities.
Heading the list of dignitaries, and organization leaders were Mayor Alex Fekete of the City of Pembroke Pines; Vice-Mayor of Miramar Clarendon born Fitzroy Salesman, whose generosity allowed for the spanking new Sunset Lakes Community Centre in Miramar to be the venue of this lovely occasion he brought greetings from The Mayor other Commissioners and residents of Miramar and also challenged Mr. Lue on the air fares.

Commissioner Hazelle Rogers of the City of Lauderdale Lakes, reminded the audience that Air Jamaica was and always will be the fabric of this community and delivered kind sentiments from her City. Jamaica United Relief Associationšs President, Joan Seaga Gonzales, brought greetings from her organization. Also in attendance were Mr. Lloyd Daley, deputy director of the Port of Miami, Homeland Security and Department of Justice who is also the president of Members Only Social Club of Miami.
Also in attendance were Ms. Cheryl Wynter, Press Attaché of the Jamaica Consulate General of Miami, Joy & Lukkie Chong of Frame by Frame Productions, producers of Air Jamaicašs award winning inflight tv-show, Island
Stylee.

Mrs. Marie Beateau President of Good Shepherd, Dr Alia Persad, Richard and Yvonne Keen of CAMEO, Mrs. Carmen Bartlett Manager of Jamaica National Overseas, Kirk A. Barrow Esq. Ms Margaret Barrett Jamaica National Building Society Rep Office, Shari Jamieson-Francis President of the Hugh Jamieson Foundation, Mr. and Mr. Ed Steele of CNS Ins group, Ms. Morcene Olmeda, Manager Miramar Financial Center of Washington Mutual Bank, and members of various alumnae, civic and charitable South-Florida based organizations.
Staff of the Air Jamaica Miami regional sales office present, included Pamela Williams, Andrea Williams, Cecile Clarke and sales coordinator Cassandra Chin all were highly complimented by emcee Ms. McGowan-Arscott for their sterling role, professionalism and courtesies extended so frequently to the various organizations that promote events of which Air Jamaica are always sponsors.
In his response, Mr. Richard Lue emphatically reaffirmed Air Jamaicašs special relationship with the people of the Caribbean and South Florida and encouraged the guests to continue supporting Air Jamaica as they continue to grow from strength to strength.

He thanked the organizers of the event and indicated that he has never before had a WELCOME reception in his honor and pledged his commitment to serve. He further outlined new destinations and routes that are currently serviced by Air Jamaica and identified prospective new routes being considered for future service. He also took time out to promote the reduced fares and current specials being offered by Air Jamaica, he further gave the audience his assured commitment to be a part of the various communities in South-Florida. In doing so he also gave a brief synopsis of his tenure with Air Jamaica, also his upbringing and identified with the origins of his Clarendon and Manchester Jamaican roots.
